Great to do lingerie photography
It is not often we are asked to do lingerie shoot. But when we are we jump right in to it as we would do any other fashion shoot. Nothing phases us here at Capture Factory, we rise to any challenge.
We like to meet with our clients to discuss their needs so we can best make their ideas reality. Our studio offers model shoots, invisible mannequin, lookbook photography, product shots – anything the client desires.
The shoot
An up and coming London lingerie designer asked us to do some trial shots for her very first collection.
She wanted to create the right look for her worthy designs. We discussed using a model but she wanted to have a different look rather than glamour images. Therefore, she decided on flat product photographs to showcase the clever designs of her sexy underwear and sleepwear garments.
We had a great time arranging all the delicate lace and silk pieces so we could best capture the intricate details. Using soft lighting techniques we created a clean cutout effect but still with some shadowing to pick out the main features of each one. We experimented with a variety of different background surfaces from shiny and reflective to various matte colours.
At Capture Factory we have a series of different colourama background rolls to choose from so we always find the right effect. We ended up with a matte white but slightly textured effect. The contrast of dark lace on a paler background really created a fresh stylish look and feel to the shoot.
The customer is more than happy with the results and we look forward to working with her on her upcoming website product photography as well as the lookbook for the new collection. Watch this space for news and more lingerie photos!
