Doing some homeware photography
In the past, we’ve been asked to shoot beard oil, horse-boxes and even a ship’s anchor. But when a furniture designer asked us to photograph a chair made out of a bicycle, we were curious.
The images conjured up in our collective imaginations could not live up to what we were presented with. But have a look yourself…
What the designer created was a melding of ergonomic precision, aesthetic vigour and venerable style. He works with tubing from Reynolds and leather from Brooks England.
All in all, he has captured the spirit of Randonneuring perfectly.
We’ve captured cycle and automotive products before, but the real charm to this piece of furniture was the detail. Hence, that’s exactly what we focused on when looking through the lens.
We made sure to capture every joint, brand, curve and corner.
In the end of the session, we knew that we had once again produced a great set of product shots that captured the quality of the chair in its finest, and really demonstrated the combination of style, class and cycling history that the designer had achieved in his design.
